Welsh Cobs were featured in an article in this month’s Horse’s Maine. Waterford Statesman, high score champion at 2nd level, represented the Cob in the discipline of dressage. Nesscliffe Sunrise was shown in hand and driving. Enthusiastic Cob owners from around the State of Maine were interviewed and the article had some great photos.
We still have deep snow around the barns and fields and it seems that we shall never see bare ground again! The Cobs can just about step over the fencing but have remained in their enclosures so far.
We expect one foal this spring: Waterford Diplomat is due to Whispering Red Fury at the end of April.
The Annual New England Welsh Pony and Cob Society show will be held August 2 & 3 at the Topsfield, MA Fairgrounds. This is going to be a fun show with two highly regarded judges: Mr. I. James of the Hendrewen Stud of Wales and Mrs. Iona Pillion of Virginia. |
