Waterford Welsh Cobs

Waterford Welsh Cobs is one of the oldest active Cob studs in the United States. Welsh Cobs bred, owned or sold by Waterford Welsh Cobs have been dominating the Welsh Cob scene in the U.S. since 1981. I am determined to breed and produce Cobs that are true to type, holding my Cobs to the superior standards of their native Wales and its society.

Waterford Welsh Cobs is owned and operated by India Haynes. India grew up in England hunting a Welsh Cob with the Old Surrey & Burstow and South & West Wilts Hunts. She obtained her BHS exams and competed in events and show jumping in England. She worked in racing stables in England and Ireland before returning to America. She has shown Cobs in the US, Canada and in Wales including Royal Welsh. She judges throughout the United States and internationally, including the UK and South Africa. She campaigns Welsh Cobs in many disciplines. India holds judges cards in Welsh with both the USEF and WPCSA. She is the first foreign judge to be invited to judge Welsh Cobs at a major UK Welsh breed show.
